Do new joiners actually land here?

Most onboarding gets judged on whether the paperwork was finished. The thing that decides whether someone stays is quieter: how long before a new joiner can say this is what my job is for, this is who I ask, and this is how things really work here. This check reads the four things that set that clock, and gives you a report you can take to whoever owns onboarding.

      Questions

      About this assessment

      What is employee onboarding?

Everything that turns a new hire into a working, connected member of the team: access and equipment, a clear picture of what the role is for, real work early, honest feedback, and a deliberate introduction to how the organisation actually operates. It is a period of months, not a form.

Isn't onboarding just the first-day induction?

That is the most expensive misunderstanding on the subject. Induction is one morning of paperwork and slides; onboarding is the ninety days in which someone either becomes productive and attached or quietly starts looking. Organisations that stop at day one usually have a strong first impression and a weak sixth month.

Can I run this with my whole team?

Yes, and the useful version is a mixed group: everyone who manages new joiners, plus everyone who joined in the last year. Managers score the process they believe they run; recent joiners score the one they experienced. The gap between those two averages is the most honest onboarding audit you will get.

What do I get at the end?

A score for each of the four dimensions with an explanation of what your level actually means, the one to fix first, three things to try this week, and what to read next. You can save the whole thing as a PDF and hand it to whoever owns onboarding.

      Do you store my answers?

No. The scoring happens in your browser. When you ask for the report we receive your contact details and the summary — your score, the dimension breakdown and your focus area — so a trainer can follow up usefully, but never your individual answers.
